- Be sure to check out this week's spirit days and join in the fun!
- This special event gives our 3rd-5th grade students an opportunity to read a book at home and then participate in a lunch discussion facilitated by a parent volunteer.
- A huge thank you to Bridget Rockefeller and Monica Pontarelli for planning engaging activities that make this event such a memorable experience for our students.
- We are also grateful to the PTO for coordinating and providing the resources needed to make this event possible.
- Please watch your teacher's newsletter and ParentSquare for conference sign-up information.
- Thank you to the PTO for providing lunch and dinner for our teachers throughout conference week. These meals are greatly appreciated during long days of back-to-back conferences.
- Special thanks to Ashley Domsch for helping coordinate these efforts and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Students will be able to arrive at school already dressed in their costumes and ready for the parade.
- The schedule minimizes disruptions to instructional time and reduces the need for costume changes during the school day.
- Following the parade, students will be able to store accessories and costume extras in their backpacks, helping reduce misplaced items.
- Staff members shared feedback that this schedule may create a smoother experience for students and classrooms.
- Families who wish to attend the parade may be able to do so immediately after drop-off before continuing with the rest of their day.
- Classroom parties will continue to be held at the end of the school day.
- To help ensure a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment for students, attendance during class parties will be limited to Room Parents and pre-registered volunteers assisting with activities.
- This practice has been in place for the past several years and helps alleviate congestion in classrooms and pod areas, allowing students more space to participate in games and activities.
- Room Parents may enter the building at 2:30 p.m. to prepare for the festivities and welcome volunteers.
- Our Fall Family Fun Night Committee, led by Hope McCoy, has planned an exciting evening for students and families.
- Activities will include a magic show, trick-or-treating, hair glitter, temporary tattoos, pumpkin decorating, pizza, and treats.
- This event was moved from October 16 to October 30, and we are incredibly grateful to Hope for stepping in to lead the event.
- We are still looking for volunteers. If you, a family member, or a local high school student would like to help, please consider signing up.
SRE PTO & SRE Leadership Team
Dear Sunset Ridge Elementary Families,
I am honored and excited to serve as your PTO President for this school year. As both a parent and a proud member of this community, I believe deeply in the power of working together to create the best possible environment for our children to learn, grow, and thrive.
This year brings so many opportunities for us to collaborate on that will spark curiosity and creativity for our children. Our PTO’s mission is simple: to support our students, empower our teachers, and strengthen the connection between school and home.
We can’t do this without you. Whether you volunteer at an event, share your ideas at a meeting, or simply cheer from the sidelines, your involvement makes a difference. Every voice matters, and every helping hand brings us closer to our goals to provide a fun, nurturing environment for our children.
Let’s make this year one filled with learning, laughter, and lasting memories. I look forward to meeting you at our upcoming events and working side-by-side to make Sunset Ridge Elementary the best it can be.
With gratitude and excitement,
Tiffany McCalla
2026-2027 PTO President
